A 75-member Peijing opera company returned yesterday after a three-and-a-half-month performance tour of the United States.

It has given more than 90 shows in 30 leading cities in the United States. They include Honolulu, San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh, New York. Philadelphia, Boston and Washington, D.C.

An estimated 100.000 Americans and overseas Chinese went to the theaters to view the performances. Another 50 million watched the performances on TV.

The troupe, which left Taipei last September 13 gave their first performance at Honolulu September 14 and the last in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve.
